FATAI AGBOOLA AFOLABI
Lead Consultant and Sustainability Expert
F. A. Afolabi is the
Managing Consultant/Managing Director
of Foremost Development Services Limited. He oversees overall project execution and delivery. He has been an active player in agriculture, rural development, and environmental management in Nigeria. He coordinated the pre-Intervention study for the rehabilitation of oil palm and cocoa nationwide, sponsored by the defunct PTF in 1998-99. He also participated actively in the formulation and studies for the backward integration of big corporate entities including UAC, CFAO, Flour Mills of Nigeria, Nigerian Breweries and Guinness in the late 1980s.
He started his carrier in the Agricultural Department of Knight Frank & Rutley in 1984 as Agricultural Consultant and participated in the study and execution of notable agricultural projects for corporate organization, government, and foreign agencies.
His career as a development planner has seen his hands in notable development projects for government, corporate establishments, international organizations, and NGOs.
Qualifications
F.A Afolabi holds a M.Sc. Degree in Development Planning from the University of East Anglia, UK; B.Sc. in Agriculture from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, 1983; PhD programme (at advanced stage) in Social & Environmental Forestry, University of Ibadan, Nigeria; Certificate in HCV Assessor Training Course provided by Proforest, UK in 2015; Certificate in RSPO Lead Auditor Course by Proforest, Ghana in 2015; RSPO Producer Course also by Proforest UK in Ghana.
Involvement in Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) and Others
He is the Facilitator, RSPO National Interpretation in Nigeria. He established the mechanism for the sensitization and mobilization of plantation owners for subscribing to the principles and criteria of RSPO in Nigeria. He also put together the National Interpretation working group or task force and the Nigeria Interpretation (NI) of RSPO was just approved in July 2017 by RSPO secretariat. He has helped to found the Plantation Owners Forum of Nigeria (POFON)–a body to promote private sector investment in tree crops development in Nigeria. He oversees the activities of POFON as its Executive Secretary. He also helped to establish the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) in Nigeria; He oversees its operation as Facilitator. He has been appointed into the membership of several agricultural development committees at national level and has been the Facilitator of the Agriculture and Food Security Policy Commission of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG).
AHMEED ABISOYE OLANIGAN
Environmental & Sustainability Expert
Mr. Ahmeed is a Principal Consultant at Foremost Development Services Limited. He holds an M.Phil. Degree in Environmental Management and Protection and B.Sc. in Environmental Management and Toxicology from the University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Nigeria; Certificate in General Health, Safety and Environment; Certificate in Health, Safety and Environmental Development, Nigeria Institute of Safety Professional (NISP), Nigeria; Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, Chattered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH), UK; Certificate in HCV Assessor Training Course provided by Proforest, UK in 2015.
He started his carrier with MAK MERA ENERGY SERVICES LIMITED as an Environmental Scientist and Safety Officer in the year 2000 and participated in the execution of many environmental studies in Shell Petroleum Development Company Ltd, Warri and Port-Harcourt. He later joined Foremost Development Services in 2002 as an environmental consultant. He is responsible for project coordination, environmental and social/socio economic studies and environmental monitoring, among others.
ENGINEER RAFIAT ABISOLA BADMOS
Technical and Administration Consultant
Engr. (Mrs.) Rafiat Badmos is the Technical and Administration Consultant at Foremost Development Services Limited. She holds a B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. She is a corporate member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and duly registered as a practicing Mechanical Engineer by the Council for the regulation of engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
She started her career with Lagos State Government as a Mechanical Engineer at the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure and participated in design, supervision, and execution of Government projects for seven years, then withdrew from Government Service as a Senior Mechanical Engineer. She later joined Foremost Development Services in 2017 as a Technical/Administration Consultant. She is responsible for all activities relating to the operations (both technical and administration) of the company.
ABIODUN EDWARD MAKINDE
Soil Scientist
Mr. Abiodun is a resident staff of Foremost Development Service which he joined in 2012. He holds a B.Agric Degree in Soil Science and Land management from the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta, Certificate in HCV Assessor Training Course provided by Proforest, UK in 2015; and a member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH UK). He has gathered practical experience on and off the field in various Environmental/Developmental studies since becoming a staff of FDS.
Makinde Abiodun is also a member of the Rotary International and was appointed as the Chartered Secretary of the Rotaract Club of Akute sponsored by the Rotary Club of Akute, district 9110 Nigeria in 2014. He is also the Desk officer of the Plantation Owners Forum of Nigeria (POFON) - a body to promote private sector investment in tree crops development in Nigeria.
OGU CHRISTOPHER CHIBUEZE
HSE Consultant
A seasoned Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer/Environmental Consultant with years of proven expertise in the oil palm sector, he possesses professional trainings/certifications in Health, Safety and Environment (level 1, 2 & 3) and Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Management System (ISO 45001). He provides the followings services to our clients;
Identifies health, safety and environmental gaps and provides recommendations.
Conducts extensive internal environmental audit data on all the operational facilities and services of our clients.
Ensures our client’s compliance with international, national and local legislations.
Involved in the drafting and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of our client’s business operations.
Routinely Inspects and audits our client’s facility for potential hazards, and proffers mitigative/corrective actions to our client.
Develops and implements health and safety policies, and procedures for our client.
Involve in the effective management of wastes generated in our client’s facility in conformance with international, national and local laws on waste management.
AKINNIYI IBUKUNOLUWA AKINYEMI
Forestry and Wildlife Consultant
A graduate of Forestry and Wildlife Management from the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. (Second Class Upper Division). He has professional training in advanced HSE and Project Management. Over the past ten years, he has held various roles in the agricultural sector and Ecotourism Industry. He is a volunteer for NGOs such as Cuso International YouLead Project in Cross River State, sponsored by the Canadian Government and MEDA, Food Bank Nigeria, and many more.
He is a member of the Abeokuta Birds Club (ABC) of Nigeria. He joined Foremost Development Services in March 2021 and he is the assistant Head of the Monitoring Department.
BUKOYE MUHAMMED KABIR
Logistics Consultant
He graduated from the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Engineering. He started his professional career in the banking sector with the now defunct Oceanic Bank limited in 2007 and moved into the capital market sector of the financial services industry with Lotus Capital Limited with the provision of non- interest Halal Financial Solutions. He then delved into the Real Estate Advisory where he cofounded Modern Shelter Systems Limited in 2015.
He joined Foremost Development Services Limited as the Abuja Liaison Officer before moving to the Environmental Assessment Department. He his married with 3 children.
